Account Deletion

At zeldin, we respect your right to control your data and provide a straightforward process for account deletion. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data when you do.

How to Request Account Deletion

You can request account deletion through any of the following methods:

  • From your Dashboard: Log in to your zeldin account, go to "Account Settings" → "Privacy & Data" → "Delete Account"
  • Via Email: Send a deletion request from your registered email address to support@zeldin.ai
  • Contact Support: Contact our support team through the chat function in your dashboard

Please note: Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days, in accordance with data protection regulations.

What Happens During Account Deletion

  1. Confirmation: After your request, we'll send a confirmation email to verify your identity and intent.
  2. Deactivation Period: Your account will enter a 14-day deactivation period, during which you can reactivate your account if you change your mind.
  3. Final Deletion: After the deactivation period, we permanently delete your account and personal data.

What Data Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently erased from our systems:

  • Your personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • Your user preferences and settings
  • Access credentials and authentication data
  • Usage history and activity logs
  • Any content you've created or uploaded

Data Retention After Deletion

We may retain certain information after account deletion for the following reasons:

  • Legal Requirements: We may be required by law to retain specific transaction records.
  • Aggregated Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated data may be retained for analytical purposes.
  • Backups: Your data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently removed.

Important: Please download any important data before requesting account deletion. Once completed, account deletion cannot be reversed and all your data will be lost permanently.

Business Account Deletion

For business accounts with multiple users, special procedures apply:

  • The account administrator must request account deletion
  • All users will be notified of the pending deletion
  • A 30-day grace period will apply before final deletion
  • Data export options are available for business accounts
